Hereford cows
At Sheela Farm, we believe that animals come first. That's why our cows graze outdoors as much as possible, in spacious pastures where they can move and graze freely.
Herefords are a calm, strong, and easy-to-care-for breed. They graze in our pastures almost year-round, except during the winter months. They mature at their own pace. This makes them not only robust but also perfectly adapted to extensive grazing and nature management.
A breed with few worries
What makes Herefords unique is their excellent fertility. They usually give birth independently. Their milk production is also sufficient to raise a strong and healthy calf. Their strong maternal instincts and calm temperament make them pleasant animals to work with. Their healthy hooves also make them very suitable for natural environments. They walk easily on various surfaces and rarely have hoof problems. Furthermore, our Herefords are genetically hornless.

Grass and barley
Herefords are grass-fed by nature. And they remain faithful to that. In winter, we supplement this with home-grown barley during the milking season. This is not only better for the animal, but also for the flavor. The meat from a grass-fed Hereford is deep-colored, lightly marbled, and exceptionally flavorful.
More than meat - Studbook
At Sheela Farm, we don't breed our Herefords solely for consumption. We also supply young animals to other farmers or enthusiasts seeking a healthy, easy-to-care-for breed for natural grazing, small herds, or sustainable meat production. All animals are registered in the official herdbook, guaranteeing their origins and purity.
