Highland cows

We focus on two unique breeds: Scottish Highlanders and Hereford cattle. These cattle are robust, self-reliant, and perfectly fit our sustainable approach. They contribute to landscape management and deliver delicious, high-quality products.

Made for the outdoors

The Highland Cattle is an ancient cattle breed native to the Scottish Highlands. For centuries, they have lived in rugged terrain and under extreme weather conditions. This heritage is still evident today: Highland Cattle are self-reliant, strong, and exceptionally hardy. Their double coat keeps them warm and dry.

Grow naturally and slowly

Our Highland cattle are primarily grass-fed. This suits their nature and our vision. This results in a robust and balanced animal, and ultimately, delicious, pure meat. With their impressive horns, thick coats, and calm demeanor, our Highland cattle are the center of attention on our farm.

Strong, healthy and low-maintenance

A major advantage of this breed is their natural health. They have strong hooves, require minimal medical care, and usually calve independently. They adapt easily to different terrains and contribute to ecological management. Their calm grazing behavior keeps vegetation open and promotes biodiversity.

Aesthetics and impact

With their thick coats, they brave wind and rain with ease. Our Highland cattle are raised with respect and patience, which you can taste in their authentic, rich meat. Ideal for those who want to combine sustainability and flavor.

Meat with character

Highland cattle meat is unique. The natural diet and slow growth give the meat more character. The meat is marbled with intramuscular fat, which gives it a juicy texture.
